Written by Today the general idea that the mainstream media promotes with brute force is this, “everything is okay and that includes homosexuality too” For it doesn’t tell you is this, that Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah, hot brimstone and fire. And more so the purpose of the main stream media is to lead astray Christians and as Christians we ought to know and understand this first, that we are bought with a price and that price is Blood of Jesus.
That being said, though we are in this world, we do not belong to the world and the debate stops right there. The problem today is that most of us are not getting the basics correct, and that basic is this, we are to follow the word that has been given to us. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”, Psalms 119:105.
In all honesty things cannot be explained with such clarity more better than this, yet most of us fall by the wayside. Today the sin of homosexuality is accepted and proclaimed with fancy and colorful words and even countries which ought to follow the statues of the Bible have gone slack.
Now this is not something new or not heard off, Bible clearly mentions with dead straight words such as how when Israel sinned against God, it was given over to captivity. Now do you know what it means to serve under and in captivity? Well, in short, you don’t have the right even to raise your neck for a split second.
Worse than that, you don’t own anything and that includes even your loved ones. There are recorded history when men after their marriage ought to offer their brides as gifts to their captors and things go beyond and for the sake of maintaining some level of gentry, we refrain from entering that area.
Going further for one instant if you were to think that these were some things of the past, then it would only mean that you have spent too much time listening to the main stream media which blows its horns on equality, fraternity and liberty and yet won’t shake its little finger to help a neighbor spending nights on the streets homeless.
Now get this straight up good people, suffering in any form is terrible and imagine being showered from above in Sulfur and fire. Of course, one might argue homosexuality is individual’s choice, well that choice shouldn’t mean getting a shower in hot sulfur and fire.
As Christians we have a standard that ought to adhere to and that standard is what we are measured by. Just taking driving for instance, before we could drive on the road, there is something called as a Driving license, which is given only to those who pass the test.
Now passing the test merely signifies that the driver of the vehicle clearly understands the law and the consequences of breaking it. Now that being said, anyone breaking the law even through ignorance is also held responsible for their actions in the court of law and judged.
In other words, there no such thing as Pardon there but only penalty which can range from huge fines to life behind bars. Now the court of Heaven is no different from the court here. There is just one question asked, when you had known the truth then why did you opt in to follow falsehood.
So coming to the Axis of this chapter 19, which is, God’s wrath on Sodom and Gomorrah, because of opting to override the Creators design and purpose is the lesson that we should learn and engrave it on.
Let us explain here why God’s wrath on Sodom and Gomorrah was triggered. Now consider you have a great house and suddenly one fine day a person walks up to you requesting that you entertain him for a few days at your house. You say okay, and then suddenly you observe that he starts advocating and teaching unscrupulous and devious intents to your children, Now what would you do? Of course everybody knows what an angry father is capable of doing. So that is exactly what followed with Sodom and Gomorrah.
So understand this that clearly God is not happy when His children are learning the behavioral patterns of the world. Just remember, as Christians, our ways are different from the way of the world, for clearly the Bible says, Be ye “not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
So, the lesson we ought to learn, the Bible does not approve of the sin of homosexuality and neither should we Christians. Of course, the world might not be happy with us but that is alright, for neither was the world happy about Jesus. And as for we Christians, just remember this, our objective is not to make the world happy but our Heavenly Father. amen.
